The KRAKATOA 4x4 on MAN TGE L4H3 combines a spacious and functional interior with a preparation designed to enjoy adventure on and off the road.
Its KRAKATOA layout takes full advantage of the L4H3's large volume to offer 4 travel seats and 4 sleeping berths, with an interior designed for comfortable long getaways: a dining area, kitchen, full bathroom, bedroom, and ample storage space. The Atek pop-up roof adds a second sleeping area without compromising interior space.
Added to all this is the 4x4 traction which provides extra capability in snow, mud, tracks and mountain terrain, making the KRAKATOA a particularly versatile camper for those looking to combine comfort and adventure.
Main features of camper conversion
Places:
Sleeps 4 and travels 4. Features a 2-seater rear bench with fore-and-aft adjustment and armrest. For sleeping, there is a rear bed and a second bed in the Atek pop-up roof.
Insulation and paneling:
Complete insulation of walls, ceiling, and floor with 20/10 mm Kaiflex, improving thermal and acoustic comfort. The interior combines plywood flooring, a CPL-finished ceiling, and upholstered panels on doors and in the dining area, achieving a durable, warm, and refined finish.
Ventilation and natural light:
It features two Dometic Mini Heki skylights measuring 40 x 40 cm and three windows: two measuring 900 x 450 mm and one specifically for the bathroom, all with their corresponding blinds. This configuration provides natural light and promotes interior ventilation.
Air conditioning:
Equipped with a 4 kW Autoterm Planar stationary heater with Comfort Control digital control. A powerful and efficient system to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature during the coldest months.
Water installation
It features a 10 l/min pressure pump and expansion vessel, as well as large capacity tanks specifically adapted to the MAN TGE 4x4. The installation is completed with an external filling point and a grey water drainage system.
For hot water, it includes an 8-liter Whale gas boiler, as well as an outdoor shower with hot and cold water, very practical after outdoor activities.
Electrical installation:
Electrical system based on Victron components with lithium battery, Orion booster, SmartShunt and Cerbo GX with GX Touch 70 screen, which allows easy viewing and control of the energy system.
It also includes a Victron MultiPlus inverter-charger, 12V, USB and 220V sockets, external grid connection and a monocrystalline solar panel with a Victron MPPT regulator.
Interior lighting:
All the lighting is designed with energy-efficient LED technology, combining recessed spotlights, ambient lighting, and integrated lighting in different areas of the furniture. It also includes adjustable flexible lamps with USB ports, ideal as reading lights in the seating areas.
Kitchen equipment:
Kitchen equipped with Thetford Topline 922 2-burner hob, 35 x 35 cm black independent sink and high spout single-lever tap.
It is complemented by a 90-liter Dometic compressor refrigerator, offering a practical kitchen with good capacity for long trips.
Separate bathroom:
Bathroom designed to maximize space, equipped with a high-quality shower tray, shower faucet with flexible hose, mirror, and shower rail. It also features a dedicated compartment for a portable toilet with a PVC blind and a roll-up curtain door, available upon request.
Bedroom:
The KRAKATOA has two sleeping areas. At the rear is the main bed with a custom-made mattress, while the Atek pop-up roof creates a second bedroom with an access ladder and one of the 40 x 40 cm skylights.
The Atek side extensions allow you to make better use of the available width in the rear area and optimize the space allocated to the bedroom.

All the furniture is designed and manufactured specifically for the KRAKATOA L4H3 layout, seeking to take advantage of the large interior volume of the MAN TGE and achieve a balance between habitability, storage and functionality.
4x4 exterior preparation:
Its exterior preparation enhances the adventurous character of the MAN TGE 4x4, incorporating a snorkel, front and rear differential protections made of 6 mm duralumin and additional Lazer lighting integrated into the grille.
At the rear, it features a wheel carrier and a Koru tubular support for accessories, onto which a 3-bike rack can be installed. This configuration is especially practical for adventure trips and outdoor activities.
